About The CCVS

The Central California Valley Squadron (CCVS) was established in 1986 by two local residents: Eddie Enriquez and Robert (Bob Lewis). At that time invitations were sent out to Modesto residents and the local newspaper, The Modesto Bee, ran an article about the Commemorative Air Force and this newly formed squadron in Modesto.

The "kick-off" was held in a Modesto restaurant "Monaco's" with standing room only watching a film on the history of the Commemorative Air Force. It was then the Central California Valley Squadron was born.  The squadron originally met at a Hangar in Oakdale then moved to the Modesto City County Airport in 2000 and into its current in hangar in 2004.
